Parveen Shakir

Parveen Shakir was born on November 24, 1952 she is one of the best Urdu gazal poet and a teacher and a civil servant. Her famous poetry is Khushbu or Khusboo which means

Fragrance, Sad-barg means Marsh Marigold Khud Kalami means Soliloquy and Inkar means Denial, Kaf e Aina means The Mirror’s Edge are the best and well known Urdu poetry. She was also awarded the Pride of Performance for her Urdu poetry and she left us on December 26, 1994. Some of her Urdu poetry are as
